MARCH 13 AND 14
First I have to thank Barbara for keeping me up to date with Sandy and thank her for keeping in touch
with her.
On the 13th we were in Tahiti and it was raining when we started our tour and continued for 3 of the 5
hours we were touring. I wasn't feeling to well and couldn't appreciate some of the stops we made. We
were all saying this isn't the weather we were thinking about in the Polynesian Islands. We think of
swaying palm trees, sun and beautiful sights. We did see some nice homes but on the whole, I'd say it
was disappointing seeing homes made of metal sheets, some without glass in the windows. I felt sorry
for these people but when I asked our guide he said the people are very happy because they don't know
any better.
Today we are in Moorea and I decided since it was going to rain for most of the day I'd stay onboard.
Enid is on tour and will let you know her opinion when she gets back. Enid absolutely loved the tour even
though the 3 of them (Sue, Steve and Enid) looked like drowned rats. They fed the stingrays, had black
fin sharks swimming around them, had lunch and really enjoyed the day even with the bad weather.
HELENE--Enid said yes for Peter Pan.
