Today was another magnificent day with sun and cool brezes. We had a morning tour, a 2 hour break for
lunch and then an afternoon tour. All I can say is 'The hills are alive (not with the sound of music) but with
groans and grunts from all the hills. San Francisco is nothing compared to this. It's a good thing they don't
get snow. We really enjoyed both tours. Came back to the hotel expecting a message from guest services
as we had complained about the service at breakfast. Nothing!!! So before dinner we went back to guest
services and I asked for the corporate office email and the assistant manager came out and we explained
again what we incurred at the buffet for all 3 visits. Now I know it's not easy to have bad service at buffets
but we all know if it can happen, it will happen to us. To make a long story short we had dinner comped
and it was a much better experience.
By the way, you'd never know we are on vacation as we got up at 6 AM and tomorrow we have a 5:30
wake-up call. Vacation, my eye. Tomorrow we have an 8 AM flight to Perth where we'll spend the day
before embarking on the Century.
To put everyone's mind at ease, I am having no problems with my cast on and refuse to let it interfere
with any of our plans.
